I’m pretty darn sure most of you don’t know what this is. You might have guessed it’s an iron based on its shape, but did you know that these types of irons used to burn coal for heat to iron clothing?
This is known as a charcoal iron.
Just imagine how much of a hassle it must have been to load these up with coal! However, those who used to own these irons swear by them. They claim the heat distribution was remarkably even, which is why some people in India still use them today.
